Soil Science and Water Management: Properties and components of soil, soil types, soil formation and erosion processes, soil conservation techniques, importance of water in agriculture, and basic concepts of irrigation and drainage.
Agriculture Extension and Economics: Principles and methods of agricultural extension, role of KVKs (Krishi Vigyan Kendras) in agricultural development, government schemes for agriculture development, farm management practices, and marketing of agricultural produce.
Dairy and Animal Husbandry: Breeds of cows and buffaloes relevant to Uttar Pradesh, dairy farm management practices, basics of animal nutrition and feeding, and common animal diseases and their control.
Part 2: General Knowledge and IT
Knowledge of concepts of Computer and Information Technology: Basic computer functionalities and applications relevant to agriculture, introduction to the internet and its uses in agriculture.
General Knowledge of Uttar Pradesh: Geography and climate of Uttar Pradesh, agriculture and industries in Uttar Pradesh, socio-economic aspects of Uttar Pradesh, and important government schemes and initiatives in Uttar Pradesh.
